Details: Product Description Rare book Review "The organization and format of the book works well for my particular use, it builds nicely and is broken into logical sections similar to coursework taught at our college. The book is broad and thorough enough for readers to explore deeper into a given area if necessary. This book is one that I would recommend to others and it is currently the text used for two of our core first-year courses. Furthermore, students are encouraged to keep this text for use and reference during their second year as it is relevant for other coursesAll in all, this book is a remarkable accomplishment." About the Author Floyd Vogt is a sixth-generation carpenter and contractor. His family operated a small business devoted to all phases of home construction, and he began working in the family business at age 15. In 1985 he began teaching in the carpentry program at the State University of New York, Delhi. He has taught many courses, including light framing, advanced framing, math, energy-efficient construction, finish carpentry, finish masonry, and estimating. Mr. Vogt is currently a professor emeritus in the construction design-build management bachelor's degree program, where his course responsibilities included residential construction, AutoCAD, construction seminar, and physical science applications.
