Does this little notebook work well with coloring pencils?
I have used it for coloring pencils. And the paper takes the pencil rather nicely.
Is this paper rough? Or is it soft like print paper?
The paper has a texture similar to construction paper, but a bit softer.
Would this notebook function well for watercolor paintings?
The pages are thick enough. I have used markers and pens with this paper and it does not bleed through, maybe with some care it could work for your watercolors.
How many pages come in this sketchbook?
The book come swith 110 pages. You can double it if you use front and back.
When drawing in the middle of the book, does it stay open enough to draw inside of it?
More or less, but you have to press it down at first when opening the middle of the book. You know that these types of hardbound books tend to be a bit hard to manage.

Details: I have been using this sketchbooks for a couple of years. I normally used it to plan pages for the mangas or comic books. Lately, I have been used it for more detailed drawings. The paper takes color pencils and pens rather well. Also when erasing, the paper is resistant to tear. The new photos I took for the product show you how well it works. This is the sketchbook that I own. I personalized it a bit. It's fun to make newly bought items your own. If you leave the outside covers plain, it will just be like all the other sketchbooks. The front cover was decorated with a white coloring pencils.
