Of all the music instruments I have researched, this is the first one that does not have a single vowel. How would you go about pronouncing that word? The thing is also known as the crowd or rote. It is a tyle of lyre.
It was commonly used in folk music back in the medieval times in England. Only 4 historical instruments have survived to modern times. The name means round object in proto Celtic.
The instrument still gets played today. There are modern reconstructions of the instrument. The best known modern player of the instrument is named Cass Meurig. He even made a CD for the Crwth in 2004.
So, you should check out his work if you are curious about the instrument. As for my drawing, I have the maiden wearing a Freddy Krueger type of shirt. I thought it would make her seem amusing.
I need to get back into making more silly drawings. As of lately, I have been like super busy on the website. I have also been trying to breathe life into my Artsy Sister Youtube account.
