Fata Morgana in Miami Beach

For those that do not know, Fata Morgana is a type of mirage. They do not appear very often. I was lucky to have taken photo of it. This type of mirage tends to distort the original, till one no longer recognizes it. They usually appear on the horizon. They are usually seen in the Polar Regions. It is fun to have been it in Florida. I guess stranger things have happened before. Perhaps, it is just a regular mirage. I think it was the latter, because the air was slightly cooler that day. Still, there was warm air from the ocean.
These are the usual conditions that trigger the Fata Morgana. This mirage gets its name for Morgana Le Fey. Anyhow, in the old days they were thought to be phantom islands, or the Flying Dutchman ship. Optical illusions are always fun to observe. It is also interesting to capture them with your camera. The foreground people do not really matter much. I just needed them for matters of perspective. If I zoomed in too much, the image would have become too distorted. I think there is only one guy looking at the mirage. The photo was taken on July 2017. I was in my favorite pokestop.
The place there is really crowded. As of late, this has not been the case. Florida is going down, fast and it is all Rock Scott's fault. This is just a Floridian problem, pay me no mind. Some things cannot be helped, the opportunists rely on the apathy of the voters to get ahead. I think they should be term limits on all government positions. This would prevent the spread of corruption. Humans are prone to corruption, that is a fact. To ignore this reality, is also another thing that bothers me. If things keep up, the Miami Beach I know and love will be a thing of the past. It is a good thing I took plenty of photos ten.
