This photo was taken in FIU just after the hurricane. The place was mostly deserted. We came there because it was one of the few places with electricity. Our home does great when the air conditioner works. However, it keeps the temperature when the heat is off. It is not the best as far as natural, thermal cooling. I learned that word from a very snobby and boring architectural professor. In the end, the stupid teacher did not used the interview I gave the fellow.

All in all, the projects and school works I did in FIU were just busy works. Most of the time I was self-learning. Then again, I am usually very critical about my teachers and so forth. They say that school is not a place for smart people, and I think that is true. I used to enjoy reading a lot, specially the Greek classics. However, the Dean of history and his stupid class took all the fun out of it. Most teachers I ever met were a bunch of kill joys. This never did stop me from doing well. I kept my opinions to myself and did their homework.

By not rocking the boat, the time passed rather swiftly. This photo was taken in one of the lunchroom. They sold Subway and the Einstein Brothers. There was usually really big lines. The place is over populated. They keep buildings classrooms, but no lunchrooms, or dorms within the same campus. I mean, there is plenty of room still left there. However, they would rather built an apartment off campus, and an overpriced pedestrian bridge.

All, in all, I knew the university was going down to get terrible when I heard there were new Head Deans. Now, everything is building this and building that. And where does the money come from? When I started, the credits were 50 bucks, without taking into account scholarships. Now, they cost an arm and a leg. Still, it functions as a type of tax deductible. Not that it matters too much, since I haven't had a paying job in years.
