I am still remembering my short vacation. It was nice not to focus on work stuff. I have been working on a silly painting and the like. There is also the issue with the books. Anyhow, the place was rather windy. The variety of the vegetation was just so interesting.
There were not a lot of mosquitoes. I spent some time with my legs exposed and they were fine. I have mosquito skin. If they are mosquitoes, they are bound to eat my legs. When I returned home, some of my flowers were deflated. The yellow rosebush did seem to produce new buds.
Now, back to the Parrot Key. Despite the name, I did not see any parrots. There were some silly black birds and some weird looking bugs. They seemed like a giant red bee. Speaking of bees, I managed to take a photo of a bee pollinating a flower.
All the palms had coconuts. One even fell on my brother. It was a good thing that it was a small nut. I have been thinking a bit about our own palm tree. It doesn’t seem too awe inspiring. I think it needs more plant food. I am still a novice as far as gardening is concerned.
It is nice to see a place managed by people who actually know what they are doing. I saw a lot of interesting orchid projects. All of them were tied to different palms. I guess air helps it out a lot. They all seemed relatively fresh. The hammocks were rather comfortable.
There were even normal chairs to sit down too. Aside from the Flowers, there were some interesting bronze statues. In the old days, there were ornamental butterflies.
They are no longer there. Mother asked about them, but the guys gave her a weird look. I think this is just about it as far as my nonsense goes. I hope you do like the photos I took while I was on vacation.
