Mixed media is anything that doesn't use a pure art medium. So, if you have a drawing or a painting that has more than one type of thing, it technically falls on mixed media. This brings me to this drawing over here. I mix pens, markers and coloring pencils together to get this final product. The pens I used was an ultra-fine point Prismacolor pen. The colored lines were made with Steadler markers. The skin was drawn with lyra pencils, and the rest was just plain old Derwent. So, technically there is not only mixed medias, but mixed brands as well.
I prefer a healthy mix with my drawings. I am still trying to find my niche or whatever. Most people tend to stick to one art medium and not experiment. Experimenting is not too common these days, except in the science world. Speaking of the science community, I do not like how they always experiment on human children and baby animals. I think that is really mean. I always have sad thoughts with science and whatever. This is why I prefer mathematicians and other people who do not mess with living creatures.
This brings me back to this ballerina. The dress is the one worn by French maidens from the 1850. Degas always admired ballerinas. He thought they were quite athletic. In those days, women in the theater business were looked down upon. Degas helped to change that perspective, through his ballerina paintings. The always painted them strong, in the middle of their practices. Their artform was serious and they needed to be taken seriously.
There was a time when I was small when I juggled the idea of doing the ballet thing. In the end, I did not bothered because I was not too athletic. I was a sickly child and the like. Now, I am better, but I am too old to do the ballet thing. I also have really small feet. This makes it hard to keep my balance and the like. I became aware of this when I was playing racket ball. I used to play it when I was younger, but my feet have not grown in years.
Since I got taller, I ended up spraining my feet. I was swollen and useless for like three months. I missed the entire summer and it was really frustrating. The thing that got me back on my feet was Pokémon Go. The game came about around the time when I was trying to walk again. That sounds silly if you think about it. I messed up my leg back when we were living in the apparent. The TV was in the floor below, so I had to struggle to get up and down the stairs. This is part of the reason why we moved to a house that only has one floor.
In case anyone falls down and breaks something, everything will be found on the first floor. My house is also has wheelchair ramp. I think an old woman used to live in the house. The only bathroom has bars to hand on to things. Even the shower has bars. So, I guess i'ts useful. We bought it because of the price and because it was the only place without an association. All associations in the US are corrupted. For example, the one in my apartment stole like 40,000 bucks.
They only found out about because the leader died, and then the new guys started looking through the books. There was a lot of money missing here and there which amounted to 40,000. Things are worse in Cutler Bay. The place has two associations, but they don't tell you. Online, they always mention the cheaper of the two. Both in total cost 500 bucks. All in all, it is best to live in a house without an association. I suppose there is not much point in thinking about it.
I do not know how I went from talking about mixed to talking about associations. I am just trying to write for you and the like. The new house has an extra room. It serves as both my studio and my brother's home office. The one thing that this house really needs is a second bathroom. It becomes an issue whenever we go out to dinner. We always have to go, after we eat. So, there is usually a line, which is annoying. Still, it isn't as bad as my first house back in Cuba. We were like 6, and we did not even have a working shower. This is one of the reasons why we did not mind having a single bathroom.
