The Chiblia Work in Process: Ezekiel

This is a page from the Ezekiel book. Like you already know, I made a chibi Bible manga. If you are not up to date with my work, the you must know that I made a children’s Bible manga. I did not designed it for any particular religion. It is not a Jehovah, a Christian or a Catholic manga. It is just a regular Bible comic. This manga focuses mostly on visual scenes. If I cannot illustrated the speech, I just move right along. I tried to keep the book as complete as possible. All the books have at least a couple of pages dedicated to it, for the most part. There is one notable exception to this rule. I only illustrated the Gospel of Mathew. The other ones tend to repeat a bit. The main reason I did not do all 4 Gospels, is because the first one I made was a tad too long. It ran for like 60 pages, and it was pretty conclusive. If I did the other ones, I would have to fit and match it into the general Gospel. I thought, do I only do the stories that did not appear in Mathew, or do I do the complete books.
The long and short of it, I only stuck with Mathew, with one tiny exception. At the end of Mathew I added a tiny scene from another book. All in all, the Gospels were designed as stand alone books. Each one had the definitive Jesus story. I think the only reason why the other 3 books were added was the match the length of the Old Testament. It would not have made much sense if the New Testament was like only 200 pages. Well, I will get back to this portion later. The main story I wanted to show you is this scene from Ezekiel. I like the book of Ezekiel a lot. It is one of the few I illustrated completely. He had a lot of cool visions of the future. He also did a couple of speeches. He was an interesting fellow. The image I featured here shows him explaining how you go to heaven. I drew an interesting chart to explain it all. It all sums up on how you live your life close to your end. If you live a good life, but you turn into a douche close to the end, then you go to hell. IF you live an evil life, but you turn good in the end, then you go to heaven. It is how you end your life, that matters, at least as far as Ezekiel is concerned.
The final two panels show Ezekiel meeting a girl he liked, but then she died of an illness. There is a lot of scenes of people crying on graves. This is how I illustrated death for most of the time in the Chiblia. If I learned anything from The World of Final Fantasy, anything can happen to chibies and it will be rated E for everyone. Before that game came, I had already started the chibi manga, with Chibi Genesis. It was only two years ago I worked up the energy to complete the Chibi manga. Well, this is just about it as far as my Chibi manga is concerned. I went through a lot of trouble to individualize my chibis and to create an overall, background chibi style. The chibi manga was done with my Art n fly paper pad. I first drew the pencil version with my paper mate mechanical pencil. I then finalized my page with my sakura and my prismacolor pens.
