For almost half a year, I have been a bit curious about this art set. You see enough anime and you start wandering about Tombow. I recognized it because of the Mono eraser. All the mangaka artists use this set to draw in Japan. As of now, I have not bothered to use it. I am going through a bit of a painting vibe. I did sharpen one and tried it on a pencil. It did what it was supposed to do. It has that nice wooden smell. This is how you can recognize the quality of the pencils.

Q and A

Do all the pencils come unsharpened?

The pencils do not come sharpened. Still, it should not matter seeing as though they come with an eraser.

Are these pencils vegan like?

No, they are not. They do not contain recycled wood. I would not eat the pencil, if you are in earnest asking about its vegan aspect. 

Are these pencils superior to Derwent?

These pencils are better than Royal and Langnickel, but worse than Derwent. 

How long does it take for these Tombow pencils to arrive?

The pencils take about a week to arrive. They come from Japan, after all.
