  • The paper also takes colored pencils, watercolor, pen, ink and markers.
  • The paper is also heavyweight, medium width. It can handle plenty of wet medias. The paper is also glue bound, for easy removal of papers.

Details:  This Strathmore paper is from the 400 series. This series is mostly heavyweight, and ideal for numerous different drawing techniques. It takes graphite well and it can even be used for making collages. It is perfect for finished works. The photo above shows my own mixed media paper pad. I really should try using it for its ideal purpose. I have been making use of it for beautiful line arts. Line arts are black and white drawings. They are designed for computer drawings. It is faster to draw it with pens, and then add the effects and the shadings. Another useful aspect of it is that the line arts can be recycled forever. One cannot do that with a finished drawing.

  • Does the papers of this pad remove easily?

    The papers remove real easily which is great if you are into that sort of thing. As for me, I find it a bit annoying since I like to have all my papers in the same pad, for safekeeping. 

  • Does this paper pad work well for pencils?

    The paper pad tends to hold pencil rather well. So, I suppose yes it does hold paper real well. 

  • Does this paper pad work well for ink?

    The paper pad is perfect for ink works. I have been using it in such a fashion and it makes the line arts real dandy indeed. 

  • Can this paper work dandy for air brush purposes?

    The paper is not smooth enough for air brush purposes, but who knows if it might work. 

  • Does this paper work well with chalk pastels?

    This paper pad can take chalk pastels rather well. It is after all mixed media, so it is yes to a lot of your questions. When it comes to paper, Strathmore is king!!!

  • Which part of the paper works better for acrylics?

    Both side of the paper work fine. Paper is one uniformed type of thing, you can paint on their side or on both sides, if you are real careful and cheap about it.
