This is a useful set of two. Think of it as buying two paper pads for the prize of one. The photo is from the one I own. It was part of a larger set, so I only have one. This set is good for those who like to paint with oils a lot. Oil paint is one of the most forgiving mediums of painting. You can add layers, upon layers of paint. Eventually, it will either look great or it will be a goopy mess that is more oil paint than actual paper. The oil paper is also good for mixed media. In the old days, first one would draw the sketch in the canvas, followed by the first layer of paint, and then rest of the painting. This paper is perfect for doing things the old fashion way.

      Its all a mater of quality. Strathmore is just more or less better, but it is more expensive. Its all a matter of how much you want to spend on your art products. If you are just starting out, I suggest this set of two. First learn how to use the products, before buying expensive goods.

      You can use both on the paper, however, it was designed for oil painting, but it takes decently other wet medias.

      The paper pad is glue bound. This makes it easy for the pages to be removed when you have a mind to do so.

      The paper offers naturally white paper. It means that its a bit gray, but the upside it that it doesn't interact with the pigments of the paint.
