Details: When one thinks of romantic cross stitch designs, Paula Vaughn's name immediately comes to mind. Her designs are inspired by actual antique articles, in most cases. THE UPSTAIRS SEWING ROOM is a study of a busy sewing room where the "gentle arts" occur. The dress on the mannequin is nearly finished being sewn on the antique Singer machine, there is a quilt that is in progress, as well, and of course a sewing basket holding all of the essentials. This lovely cross stitch pattern is suitable for stitching on any even weave or Aida cloth, and is even adaptable to needle point. The chart is colored to aid in reading and keeping track of one's place in the design. A little dazzle could be added with a few seed beads and blending or metallic filament.
