Details: The Strathmore 400 Series Marker Pad is the perfect marker pad for creating finished pieces. Working well with a wide range of marker types but specifically intended for alcohol based markers, this marker pad provides an ultra-smooth finish to prevent drag and maintain even strokes and clean lines when laying down color. Intentionally created to not be completely bleed-proof, this paper allows for the colors to sink into the sheet for artists to move the ink around, blend, and pick up color if needed. By taking around 13-15 layers of ink before the colors soak through, these sheets prevent ink from pooling on the surface as well as chewing of the marker nib. The 400 Series Marker paper is a bright white acid free sheet, ensuring you get true, vibrant colors with every creation. The sheet is also OB (Optical Brighteners) free: OB's are chemicals sometimes added to paper to make the sheet appear brighter and whiter but eventually break down and cause the sheet to lose it's whiteness and even yellow over time, which is not what artists want when creating finished pieces. The 50.5 lbs / 190 gsm USA-made paper comes in glue bound pads for clean and easy sheet removal. Paper is our art form, and we celebrate artists.
