You could mix the inks with alcohol to get lighter colors, or mix other colors of alcohol ink to get new colors.
• Perfect for Creating Ripple, Layer, Sinking, Shimmer Effect: This alcohol ink set comes with 4 bottles of white ink capable of achieving different sink effects, so you can easily get wonderful depth, layer and sinking effect.
