Sony's new a6500 Mirrorless Camera packs all of the professional performance of a DSLR camera into a compact body. The a6500 features a 24.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor with an ultra-fast AF speed of 0.05 seconds and a whopping 425 phase detection AF points. The a6500 professional-class APS-C interchangeable-lens camera features unbeatably fast autofocus; High-density Tracking AF Technology with comprehensive phase-detection AF point coverage; an enhanced buffer for continuous shooting at up to 11 fps (Hi+); 5-axis optical image stabilization; and touchscreen focus control.

4K Video Recording and Pro Video Features

The a6500 offers internal 4K recording in Super 35mm format with full pixel readout, no pixel binning and 2.4x oversampling for the ultimate movie quality. By collecting 20 megapixels (6K equivalent) of information from the full width of the sensor, which is approximately 2.4x as many pixels as 4K, the α6300 then oversamples the information to produce high-quality 4K footage with exceptional detail and depth. Additional professional video features include; S-Gamut3/S-Log3 and Gamma Display Assist, the ability to record Full HD at 120 fps for 4x or 5x slow-motion HD video.
