I made new snail art. I also photographed two painting details. I hope that these painting details are amusing.
I just like the abstraction created by ink. I should look up some proper ink painting techniques. This is just all in my to do list. Above, you can see color variants of the same tree snail species.
It changes color depending on its diet. This snail is trying to eat poison leaves to become poisonous. This is the only natural defense it has against predators.
The snail part of their bodies doesn’t usually help much. Otherwise, they wouldn’t need to eat poisonous material.
