The weekend was pretty much uneventful. We stayed at home, like the previous week. The plant’s growing has been the only interesting thing out there in the world. There was a curfew, and that got us a little bit paranoid. I had a bit of a panic dream of somebody opening the front door.
I got over it quickly, after praying a little, and then sleeping on my side. If I sleep face up, I tend to have bad dreams, it is pretty weird. The second dream I had was a lot more pleasant. I was playing Video Games. The games in the dreams, are always a lot more amusing. I suppose I went to sleep bored. It has been ages since there was a game, that wow me.
As far as work is concerned, I have been making a new children’s book. We are going to try to look for a publisher for it. If all else fails, there is always Kindle Direct Publishing. The service is good, if you are an established writer or a celebrity. If you are a little person, then it doesn’t inspire much confidence, without spending an arm and a leg on advertisement.
Everything is a work in progress as all. Anyhow, the new book is an illustrated book for little kids featuring a family of cats. Cats are fun. I am drawing the family with markers and coloring pencils. For the markers, I am using markers, Master Markers and Winsor and Newton. I was planning on just using markers, but I ran into a bit of a problem.
The black marker Marker ran out. It was really annoying. I tried looking for a refill, but it was going to arrive a month later. The marker itself was always sold as a set. In then, I opted for the cheaper option of using whatever I had to work with. Visually, it doesn’t make much of a difference, other than the fact that the marker Points tend to retain their shape.
In any case, I am going to be working on that silly side project. Hopefully, it will lead to something. I suppose I should mention something about the painting. I do not remember the names of the flowers I referenced for the painting. I should write it down in the future. The paints I used were Liquitex and US Art Supplies.
The paint has a bit of glitter. It was added using Liquitex pouring medium as a binding agent. In the end, I added a final layer of glossy Acrylic Varnish. I hope you find this information useful for your artsy projects. That canvas was Arteza. It was part of an economic set. The painting looks really big on the monitor, but that is because I have a good camera.
Most of my paintings tend to be small, because of the shoe string and the budget. Larger paintings require more paint. It is also part of the reason why I don’t try too many gimmicky things like glazing up the colors, or impasto. I hope you have fun with your artsy projects, whether you are a professional or a hobbyist.
