Green Pheasant Anime Drawing

Today seemed like a good a time as any to write about this little drawing of mine. It features a maiden dressed like a Green Pheasant. The silly bird is endemic to Japan. It is also its national bird, and for good reason.
Just look at those pretty colors. Unlike a lot of other national birds, this one is doing just fine. It is a bit of an omnivore, eating a large mix of seeds, and also meat as well. The bird is known to crossbreed with other pheasants.
This non picky attitude of it has helped it survive. The human can learn many things from the silly bird. As it is to be expected, I chose the male bird for the drawing. The drawing was made with the ever popular markers.
I almost wished I had not used so many of those pens for the fashion drawings. I am now running a little low on ink. I already used up the black color. Based on the drawing, you can see why I use that marker a lot.
The maiden in the drawing is doing a little dance pose. I hope you find it ever so amusing.
I then erased it and then traced with the pens over the faint markings left by the pencil. This helped me make such clean lines. The paper is Strathmore Mixed media paper. I hope this information is useful for your artsy endeavors.
As for me, I am still working on the publishing nonsense. I still have not gotten online my entire back catalogue. For now, we are prioritizing the Furies Manga. The books take longer because they have a lot more pages.
Like any publisher knows, you have to make certain all the words align, page by page. It is a time consuming process I would not wish on my worse enemy, so I am having my fish brother do it for me. Teehee.
On the meantime, I am working on making the next Scary Cat book. I have about 5 pages done already. With another 20 more, it might be good to go; depending on each scene. I work on a page by page basis these days.
I don’t want to tie myself down to a certain idea. I might come up with something better later. I think this is about it as far as my nonsense goes. I hope you find my new anime drawing amusing.
