I made new ink art. I used watercolor and mixed media paper. I wanted to find an alternative for ink art paper.
With watercolor paper, the inks act more like markers. You get the same effect if you were painting with regular markers.
The paper is rather thirsty. So, it absorbs the ink immediately. The watercolor paper has a similar problem, but it doesn’t absorb the ink too much.
So, you can smoosh it around if you need to. The paper also warps. It isn’t good to wet it too much.
The first painting features a purple sea slug. This one was painted on watercolor paper. It looks nice.
The second one is called Felimare californiensis. It is from California. Like all sea slugs, they are poisonous.
Be careful with them. On the upside, they eat jellyfishes.
It is a choose your poison scenario. I took two photo details.
I also made a video you can check out in my Artsy Sister Youtube and Tiktok Channels.
My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
