La Pieta Hollow Knight Parody

Today, we got around to making a new Hollow Knight Parody. In this one, you can see the White Lady cradling her last remaining child, The Hollow Knight.
In the background, you can see the infestation taking hold. She is immune to the Radiance, but sadly, she wasn’t able to pass that immunity to her descendant.
The idea is that she is saying goodbye, before, he is finally sealed away. The Hollow Knight game has a lot of Jesus allegories.
The knight born to be a sacrificial bug is a such an obvious Jesus Allegory, I am surprised nobody else has noticed. The drawing itself is based on La Pieta by Michelangelo.
The sculpture depicts the Virgin Mary carrying the corpse of Jesus Christ. She knew that he was destined to die, even so, it was painful for her to watch her son suffer a brutal death.
The same can be said of the White Lady. The Pale King ordered his wife to produce children, just to be sacrificed to Radiance, in order to hold back the infection.
I often fancy that the White Lady sealed herself in an Arcane Egg to suffer alongside the Hollow Knight. She didn’t feel that it was fair for her to go on with her life, while her son suffered.
I think that the Hollow Knight is male because women seem to have a stronger immunity to Radiance. Most the NPCs that are not insane are female. The drawing itself was done on paper and photoshop.
