Today, I wanted to review some cute paintings by Leon Comerre. Comerre was the son of a school teacher. He was interested in art since he was a small boy. He got his big break when he submitted his art to the Paris Salon. I think that is everything worth mentioning about this painter.
Now, I will review his artwork. The first painting shows a beautiful "Egyptian beauty". She is part of some of Comerre's orientalist paintings. Orientalist is a type of style that focuses on the orient. In any case, the girl is resting in her bedroom. The decorations are all taken 100% from Egypt. Overall, this painting is pretty realistic.
In this painting, we see an "Arab Beauty". She is wearing an attire that has to do with the Arab fashion of the time. The background too is arabesque. Like the Egyptian beauty, the main color in this painting is the golden color.
In this painting, we see a lovely portrait. Comerre choose to depict this lady in a garden. The girl came out extremely pretty. Her pink dress works pretty well.
This painting is about leisure. It shows you how a cute girl spends her time. In those days, it was well liked for women to spend their time reading. The way she is looking up from her book is really pretty.
In this lovely painting, we see a pretty maid. She is just entering the room. It is neat how she matches well the colors on the door. The main colors are pink and golden.
This painting shows a cute Eastern Beauty. She is wearing a lovely veil. Her jewelry is very pretty. The patterns on the wall are wonderful as well. The scenery in the background also works pretty well.
In this painting, we see a lovely maiden receiving a shower of gold. She seems to be enjoying her shower of golden.
Above, we see the same beauty of the book. Instead of having a red flower on her hair, she has a laurel crown. I can see why Comerre like this model. She is quite the cutie. The golden pattern in the background works pretty well.
