The list features anime shows that do not have Giant Mechs. The mech blog I already made. There are mechs in some of these sci fi shows. However, the main characters do not pilot those robots.
They are the antagonist. Without any more introduction, time to talk about sci fi anime shows. The first one is Angel Cop. It has a lot of Akira elements. Even the final boss rides a chopper, like Tetsuo. I think that is what he was called. Bubblegum Crisis features maidens in robot suits. They fight boomers or robots that go nuts for various reasons.
Casshern Sins is the poster boy for existentially depressed robot. The Original casshern was an existentially depressed cyborg. Megaman was influenced a lot of by this show. MEgaman got himself a dogo because Casshen had his Friender dog. Chobits is just too cute.
Cowboy bebop follows an episodic type of deal. Each one deals with a specific bounty. In the end, it developed something of a plot. It turned in the Godfather in space. Digimon needs no introduction. The evolution of Angelwoman makes no sense. Ergo Proxy has a plot that makes no sense.
The main chick resembles Amy Lee. Freezing has amusing fights. Fullmetal Alchemist has a good plot. It is more sci fi steampunk. Ghost in the shell is pretty fun. It has a cool PS2 Game. Infinite Stratos is about a school to learn to pilot mechs. However, the mechs are small and more like armors.
Iria focuses on the maiden hunting an alien. Key the Metal Idol sings off key in the English translation. It is a sci fi Pinocchio. She is a robot girl trying to become a real girl. Kiddy Grade is cute. Each episode is its own thing. Megaman NT warrior is the only animated megaman series that is actually watchable.
Parasyte the Maxim has a lot of THING elements but in a city setting. Saber Marrionetta J has a weird plot, but fun battles. The robot maidens have amusing designs. Samurai 7 is just like the movie, except the thieves pilot giant mechs. It has quite the amusing sci fi steam punk aesthetic.
I would like to see more anime shows taking place in the world of Samurai 7. Scryed has some crazy battles. Their powers are more like stands. Strike Witches seems like it belongs to the Azur Lane world. It also explains why they use plane legs, instead of brooms to fly. Texhnolize is very depressing.
The main bad guy wants to turn everyone into armored cores. Trigun is a lot of fun. It puts to the test the whole do not kill thing. Wolf Rain is post apocalyptic futuristic. The nature is dying and the lunar flower maiden is the key bring it all back. Only a wolf has the power to guide her to the promise land. The wolves resemble humans using telepathy powers. It is a lot of fun.
