this is just the exist of my room in the Bahia Principe Hotel. As you can tell, we were on the third floor. What the brochure doesn't tell you is that it doesn't have an elevator .That is a very important thing to know. We would not have gotten a third floor room if we had known about it. The stairs reminded me a bit of my stairs in my first apartment. The place even had the same odd golden color. This was before the owner of the place changed it to a mutant orange. No one in their right mind should paint any building orange.
Beside our bedroom, was the honeymoon suite. Passing by there while the lady was cleaning, I could tell that all the rooms look identical. They even had the same prettified beds as all. The TV was one of the super small flat screen monitors. For the first time in a long time, I saw a TV that actually outputted static. It is funny seeing a tiny HD TV, putting out static. One time, while flipping channels some ghost even started saying weird things.
I do think they still talk to you through the white noise. However, in the US they changed the signal format, to stop sharing airwaves with the ghosts. Now, whenever a signal doesn't come in, the screen just looks blue. It doesn't try to load up the image at all. Anyhow, the TV in Punta Cana is pretty different. Most of the channels are not even in Spanish. A good bulk of them are in Russian. A lot of Russian people apparently like to vacation there, so there are channels for them.
All in all, the essence of the TV was the same. Plenty of channels and nothing to watch as well. Due to the proximity with Cuba, some of its channels were also picked up by the Dish. It was interesting to see what that rotting croc was up to. The place is still the same as far as TV is concerned. Speaking of bad television, I saw the Running Man a day ago. The movie was about bad reality TV shows. The moral of the story is that the programs don't really know what people want to watch.
At a certain point, we all have to bite the bullet and see the least worse program out there. You do not get ratings because of your quality. Rather, many shows are just the least worse out there. I cannot seem to remember ever seeing something that is actually good. Ever since I entered the new millennium TV has been progressively getting worse. The shows on the internet have also been showing a similar trend. There are very few new shows I can actually say they are remotely good or at tolerable.
