This is quite the cute front cover that I made. I had originally the lineart version for a different project. I now finally got around to adding color to it. The paper is not a watercolor paper. It was just a Strathmore drawing paper. I was surprised that it did not bleed through the paper. Then again, I was adding watercolors rather lightly. It took me the entire night to complete it. As of now, we have been planning on changing up our production line. My brother is up to here with Photoshop.

He thinks he cannot make a fancy color manga with photoshop. It is for this reason he wants to switch back to analog. As far as analog is concerned, we are going to draw the chiblia with watercolor. We are not going to paint over the original linearts. Rather, we are going to print it in another paper, and then we are going to paint it with watercolors. I have been thinking of putting watercolor paper into the printer. I wonder how it is going to work.

After thinking it a bit, we came to the conclusion that photoshop sucks for color drawings. It takes to long to produce a color drawing. As for black and white, it gets completed really easily. It has been working wonders with our main manga. When we switched to color, it ended up looking terrible. As now we have been brainstorming a bit, we decided to draw the pages in 4 different styles.

The first one we are going to draw it with coloring pencils. The second is going to be done with markers only. The third is going to be done with watercolors. The last one is going to have both markers and coloring pencils in the mix. I have been thinking about it for a while. I have not been thinking per say. Rather, it has been in the back of my mind. Now, the thought finally surface when my brother brought up his concerns.

It is interesting how you can have a thought, and not be aware of it. I suppose it has something to do with the subconscious. You can have plenty of thoughts a not be aware of them. The brain does its own thing, and that is dandy. What does this have to do with my Ahi drawing, absolutely nothing. I was just brainstorming with my brother and it blended into my writing. I am just really trying to get a lot of things done. My brother and I are kicking into high gear as far as our little projects are concerned.

I think this is just about it, with everything. The drawing was made with some US Art supply watercolors. The paper pad was Strathmore drawing paper. It held watercolors well, without any bleed. The pens are Sakura Pigma Micron. The planet is Saturn. The moon is Titan. It looks like that because the atmosphere is a little bit dry. The Titan moon doesn’t look yellow all the time. I just thought it would look nice and misleading. The protagonist is both the dragon and the kid in the foreground. I hope you find this drawing quite entertaining.
