This is another one of the in between chapter images I created for my book. I have been loosing a bit of steam with that idea. It is a bit of a pain to insert the images into the word document. I also do not know how it will look in the final book. For now, I am going to give it a rest with my watercolor paintings. I have been thinking of getting back to my graphic novel project. I am trying to get Pokemon out of my system, so I decided to make a manga about it. It is just something to amuse myself with.
I will only make like 3 volumes for it. The volumes are going to be a bit fat. Think of it like a call back to those fat Ozamu Tezuka comics.I prefer comics not to drag on for too long. I like my stories to have a beginning, middle and an end. If an anime show drags on for too long, I just take a step back, and not return to it ever again. There are some notable exceptions, but mostly I feel like most shows grow stale right around the middle. I want to avoid this, for the most part. Also, there is so much I want to bother with a project that I do not know if I will be able to monetize it.
They say do what you love and then you will get money for it. I suppose this only applies to your own original things. This is where my fantasy book comes in. I wrote it while in College, and only now I am bothering to try to publish it. I did try it the old fashioned way, but publishers now only deal with known actors. They only see new people if all their old authors have died. As of now, I am only publishing in Amazon. You can see my works under Teresita Blanco, or something like it. I will eventually get around to dealing with this book eventually. For now, I want to do something else with my time.
This image features my protagonist meeting one of his siblings. In the background, I drew an aquarium. I though it would look perceptibly mundane and also out of place at the same time. If you think about it, I guess you will realize what is the deal with the aquarium. The fishes inside the aquarium are commonly seen in the open ocean. I did not include a shark because I thought it would be a bit cliché. I painted this using a US art supply set of watercolors. The paper was also from the company. It was a watercolor paper pad. The paper is not white, but a bit grayish. The pen is a prismacolor pen. The brushes were made of nylon. Aside from the prismacolor, all these supplies were part of a larger, US art supply set.
