I did a new Hollow Knight Art Parody. Above, you can see the painting that I am parodying. It is called Napoleon Crossing the Alps by Jacques Louis David.
I thought that the composition of this painting would work for a funny hollow knight parody. Zote has a Napoleon complex.
For those not familiar with the complex, it defines a person with a domineering or aggressive attitude, who uses it as a form of overcompensation for being physically small or short.
Zote is rather small and weak. Though, internally, he perceives himself as a powerful warrior. This fanart is meant to represent Zote’s ego. I chose a Grimm steed for his horse.
He could easily acquire one since Grimm Troupe camps out in Dirtmouth. I chose a blue background in order to make Zote and his steed standout.
The other options for a background made the drawing a little too dark. All in all, I think this was quite the funny idea for a drawing.
In the drafting stage, I had the Knight looking at the Zote, but I ended up removing him.
I think his presence there would have taken away from the overall composition. The lineart was done with ink, and the colors were added in photoshop.
I hope you find my latest Hollow Knight parody amusing. This is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
