About Books by the Artsy Sister

As you may already know, the Artsy Sister is Teresita Blanco. It seems a little bit on the nose, now that I think about it. I was thinking of a way to better promote my books. Ideally, I should have a dedicated website for each series, or an author’s page. It seems a little bit like a bother. For the sake of money, I decided to just make it a collection of all my books on this website.

When you see them all together, it seems like a lot of writing. I have already 39 publications. I still have on the back catalogue a bunch of other unpublished work. Publication is the thing that takes the longest these days. I have two unpublished books of the Saturnastra series. I still have the rest of the Chiblia to publish, and a couple of volumes from the Furies.

Hopefully, by the time you get around to reading this, the books will be up and running. Aside from Artsy Sister, the books can be found in the Amazon. They are in both Print and in the Kindle. The Kindle obviously is the cheaper alternative. In order to make my library look pretty, I ordered a copy of all my books to see how they look in the physical world.

I also used the dolls to take some promotional photos of the titles. I am a varied writer. I have poetry, novels, short stories, graphic novels and children’s books. I think what I am missing is one of those how to books, and a self-help book. It might be fun to take a whack at those types of books in the future. I am always experimenting with my writing.

I should get around to writing some new poems here and there, but I just don’t feel like it. It has been about four years since I last wrote a poem. It might not hurt to release a new batch of poems. I haven’t anything else better to do with my writing time, for the time being.

As far as writing is concerned, it might seem useful to mention my credentials or whatever. Some people find such things important. I graduated as a Journalist, from FIU. I would have done creative writing, but that Major had a huge dissertation. It seemed like it would take an eternity or two to complete my major, had I chosen that writing path.

Historically speaking, there are a lot of Journalists who went on to become famous writers. I suppose I might give you a short list: Ernest Hemmingway, Miguel de Unamuno, Stefan Zweig, Charles Dickens, Bram Stoker and H.G. Wells. Back when I was in school, the teachers used to compare my writing to that of Hemmingway. This made me sad because I always found Hemmingway to be so boring.

While in school, I did a lot of essays, but I did not keep track of them. They are probably in some teacher’s journal in circulation. It is often that when the FIU teachers have nothing new to offer, they just do a compilation of students’ work to publish.

The students get the fame, while the teacher gets the cash. I prefer the cash. I think this is enough of a description for this collection. I hope you find all these books entertaining. I always strive to make a book that is amusing. I hope you have as much fun reading the books, as is had writing them.
