Amnesia is a pretty common troupe in Fantasy games. It is even more common in Final Fantasy games. In FF8, almost everyone had amnesia.
Pretty hilarious and confusing. In Nier, the book lost his memories by getting hit in the head. Shayle from Dragon Age had lost her memories of being a dwarf after being alive for so long.
Her amnesia at least made more sense. Bayonetta had her memories taken by magic for reasons that don’t quite pan out. In the sequel, they had other idiots lose their memories. Lanche had disassociate amnesia.
She ignores her human memories because she has been a vampire for far too long. Nikki, Zero and the Witcher lose their memories cause they got hit in the head. A pretty stupid reason indeed.
At least Zero losing his memories makes sense causse he is a robot. Anyone who has dropped their computer knows just how brittle those chips are. The lost Odessey had a lot of folks with magical induced amnesia.
