Chesapeake Vacation Two Day Weekend
Written by Teresita Blanco (The Artsy Sister)
Last week or so, I went to Chesapeake Beach Resort with the family. It had been forever since we had something that resembled a real vacation. We had visited before ages ago. So, it was a good a time as any to revisit the place.
Plus, I was in a fresh shrimp type of mood. The hotel is a stone’s throw away from my favorite fish restaurant. It ended up raining twice during the vacation. The first time was late at night.
This gave us plenty of time to fool about the pool. I also did Kayaking for an hour with my brother. It came included with the hotel price. The water was pretty clear. So, I was able to look deeply into the water.
I mostly recorded videos. The fishes tended to swim away whenever we got too close. At night, it thundered a lot. So, that was a lot of fun. We watched mortal TV for a bit. We do not have regular TV in the house.
IT was fun to see how much it had changed. We watched family guy and the ending of Beauty and the Beast. The following day we went to the pool. We had to leave it early cause it started to rain cats and dogs.
An idiot tourists went to dance in the rain with his dog. Thankfully, his dog had a lot more common sense. He kept barking and urging his owner to find shelter. So, he ended up returning to his hotel room.
Florida is the capital of lightning. If you are outside in the middle of a lightning storm, you will get struct by lightning. It is almost a guarantee at this point. Once it cleared up, we went Kayaking a second time.
The rain helped clear up the water a bit. It also lured a lot of fishes to the shallows. They were probably there because of the storm. The water had a bit of a riff current. We almost ended up in Cuba, LOL.
Since we cannot roll quickly, we had to think of something quick. It was when I noticed that the water was still shallow enough for the paddle to touch the bottom of the water. By pulling the boat from the ground, we were able to make it back to shore.
We also got fished by a fisherman. So, that was a lot of fun. The guy was happy until, he realized that the fished two idiots. When our hour was up, we returned to shore. We ate at our fishy place one last time, before returning to the bedroom.
We awoke super early to get that nice hotel breakfast. I spoke about it in a different blog. The yogurt and muffins were to die for. I get hungry just thinking about them. There is already some videos of this trip up and about in my various social medias.
You can go see them, or you can just enjoy the photos that are only in Artsy Sister. My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
