Miami Beach Revisited Colin Street
Written by Teresita Blanco (The Artsy Sister)
I recently went back to Miami Beach with my family. I used to visit the place often back when I lived in Hialeah. Hialeah became quite infamous due to the snow. It doesn’t snow, but the movie folks seem to think so.
Anyhow…Since I live in Kendall now, it is quite a far away to visit Miami Beach on a weekly basis. The ride there was pleasant enough. You need to get there super early to get parking. We didn’t enter the beach per say.
We had come there to eat at Manolo. We wondered about while digesting the food. The beach still has plenty of sargasso. Instead of cleaning it, now, there is a machine that sort of buried it. The weed resurfaces when the high tide comes.
Pretty stupid, lazy way of going about it, but whatever. An area that used to have parking now has a weird reflective pool. It has a sideways face. It is pretty nice to look at and it even has fishes. While looking at it, I reflected on mosquitoes.
You really can’t have too much water in Florida because it breeds mosquitoes. We do live in a freaking swamp, after all. There were also two statues of Leopards. They looked like panthers to me, but the sign said leopards.
One had a pretty amusing decorations. I hope that you find my ramblings about Miami Beach amusing. My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
