Today we were going to go out to eat Sushi. When we arrived at the Sushi place, we saw some police cars outside. It was then when we noticed that the entire mall was dark.
We circled around the mall, and we found the broken power line. Since the Sushi place was closed, we decided to visit the nearest restaurant that had food that we actually liked.
We were not planning to go to Mojitos, but I am glad we ended up going there. The last time we visited the restaurant was in 2019. The restaurant survived the Pandemic.
It is still alive and kicking, and the food is better than ever. The interior decoration looks the same as I remember. I think there was just one new painting I had not seen before.
We got seated right away. As soon as we sat down, the music started. As the saying goes, the party doesn’t start till we walk in.
We each ate a croqueta for an appetizer. It is the first food item I feature in the blog. Afterwards, we each ordered the main course.
Mom and I had chicken, and brother had pork. Mom also ordered an extra order of Yuka fries. Yuka fries and regular fries look identical.
The main difference is that Yuka Fries are kinda sweet. The hours rolled lazily by eating and listening to Cuban music.
They were playing live music. Just two musicians sufficed as main entertainment. While waiting for dessert, I saw a woman selling some pikachu dolls.
The dolls then started barking. It was really quite amusing. I wish I could have taken a photo of the dog, disguised as a pikachu. For dessert, we had tres leches, Buñuelo and French toast with Ice Cream.
By this point, I was super stuffed, but I always leave room for dessert. Each dessert was perfect in its own unique way.
Then again, I do so love the above-mentioned desserts. When the bill came, it was nice that considering all the food we ordered we only had to pay 100 bucks.
So, if you want to eat good food and not break your Wallet, visit Mojitos in La Calle 8, or 8th street. The service was quick, and the waitress was polite.
We didn’t have to sit there starving, waiting for the food to arrive. I hope the photos and what I wrote inspires you to visit this nice restaurant.
As for me, the Artsy Sister, I am going to take a siesta to rest all the food I just ate. Yawn…Goodnight.
