Basilisk is Romeo and Juliet but they are ninjas this time. Fruits Basket is a love triangle. The gimmick is that if she hugs her lover, they turn into animals. Gravitation is a yaoi romance between a struggling rock star and a successful writer.
They play off well from each other. Inuyasha at its core is the romance between Inuyasha and Kagome. Most of the show is meh, but it has a dozen of really good episodes. Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions is about a manic pixie type of maiden.
Midori no Hibi has a weird premise. A guy wakes up and his hand turned into a maiden. He ends up developing a romance with her since they are biologically fuzzed together. Nazu no Kanojo X is all about droll.
Onegai Teacher is about an alien halfling who goes to Earth to Understand her dead human father. Yuri on Ice should be called Yaoi on Ice. It has a lot of cool fun figure skating segments.
