My Favorite Giant Mecha Anime Shows
Written by Teresita Blanco (The Artsy Sister)
Aquarion had pretty interesting mech mechanics. The pilot’s powers gets transferred to the mechs. It can even do vampire moves with a vampire pilot. The main bad guys are angels.
Blue Gender is Star Ship troopers but with mechs. Break Blade are magic bots. Code Geass was made by Clamp. It has the worst chess game in the history of chess games. It breaks my heart. Cross Ange is robots vs dragons.
Very amusing. The final boss was weird. Eureka 7 is about an alien and a human fighting to convince their mech that they are worthy of piloting it. Other stuff happens. The sequel was God Awful. I
t completely removed the cool surfing robots from the equation. Evangelion was cool until the makers ran out of money. The final episode was a character in a chair and no background. Gobots was amusing.
Gurren Laggan was great until episode 7. They kill the main character. Iczer One was kinda weird, but in a nice old anime time of way. It had a few amusing mech battles. Jinki Extended was…
I don’t remember. I remember a lot of mechs and chicks yelling Jinki. Linebarrels of Iron had one of the first mechs made with CGI. When the robot showed up, it looked like a PS1 game. LMAO.
Mazinger is a mech series that is always amusing. I like it more than Gundam. And yes, I never cared much for the Godfather or Gundam. Muvluv is another mech show inspired by Star Ship trooper.
Mechs vs Giant Bugs. Rahxephon had singing robots. Red Baron had a fun design. The Big O got a little Evangelion around the end. I like the first season a lot better. The Vision of Escaflowne was pretty imaginative.
It is a mech powered by a fresh dragon heart. It had some cool mech on mech violence. Vandred had a crazy plot, but fun. There is a video of this subject in my Artsy Sister Youtube channel. Please give a like and subscribe.
