It is tradition among writers to talk about Process. Since I am more or less a writer, I decided to give you my two cents on the matter. Writers today often talk about writer's block. They sit down facing the keyboard and nothing comes out. The fact that I am writing to you daily is apparently a miracle. I cannot say that I do have an easy time writing per say. It is years of practice, one blog, one essay, one poem at a time. Eventually, it piles up and you no longer have a hard  time writing. Even when you are not in a particular writing sort of mood, something happens to come up.

As you may or may not have guessed, I am in one of those moods. In the old days, I would have gotten preachy and political. However, I am in one of those "who cares" sort of mood. Those who cannot be named are bullying others to be silent. If you ask me, bullying is the biggest social problem in America. It is so common place, and it happens both to children and to grownups as well. If bullying had the same punishment as hate crimes, then we would be in business. Then again, you cannot legislate morality. As you may have noticed, it is so hard breaking an old habit.

I am not even certain if you are even bothering to read this little post of mine. One can be artsy in many different manners. This brings me back to the process. The process refers to writing. The first time I heard about it was in a Family Guy episode. Apparently that is a thing in the American market. I never considered what comes naturally to me as having some sort of process. I think writers today focus too much on settling down to write, instead of on the writing itself. They imagine that if they follow a certain routine, they will magically spit out a best seller.

In order to help you, I suppose I will describe to you what I do in the last hour before sitting down to write. Before sitting down to write, I am usually drawing my manga. In the background, my folks are watching the news. If it is the weekend, they are seeing a bad movie. I am normally only half paying attention to it. Sometimes, I completely ignore the film. Most of the movies of today are terrible. There are very few movies I actually like.

Anyhow, after mother feels like going to sleep, we usually prepare for bed. My brother is the one who looks after her in that department, tugging her in and the like. While he does this, I prepare my own bed to sleep. I then wash my face and teeth. Before returning to my room, I usually catch the pokemon of the day. I also do the same for my mother. A pokemon a day keeps us ahead of the competition.

After getting the pokemon, I go to my room to look at facebook for like 5 minutes. I usually just give likes to the products my brother is promoting, and also my own posts. I occasionally give likes to whatever funny cat video happens to be on, but only if I have not seen it before. Once I am done with this, depending on the time I sit down to write. I usually pick up from where I left off.

On rare occasions, I start drawing a blank. When I can't seem to write, I read a bit over the top. I do not do this anymore, since most books bore me. This is my aim, with my novels. I am not trying to change the world or whatever. I just aim to write something that I do not consider boring. If I am bored when I am writing the scene, I usually discard. Before you ask me about what music I listen to when I write, I must tell you that I listen to nothing. I find music to be very distracting when I write. Even now, as I sit here, there is music in the background.

Minutes ago, I lost my train of thought. It took me a couple of minutes to pick it back up. So, as far as music is concerned, I would strongly advice against it. This veto on music is only limited to writing. If you draw, music should be your number one priority. I always found it easier to draw with music. Drawing is mostly a visual thing. You do not need to listen to your own thoughts. I hope you find this little blog on my process useful. Hopefully, you will get out of your writer's block. If not, well, you can always do something else with your time.
