Scary Cat Goes to See Her Friends

I decided to feature a bit some of the best raw pages I made of my “SCARY CAT: AND THE SEARCH FOR THE OOOOHHH” book. Think of them as a bit of a sampler to the rest of the book. If you are interested, you can get it in Amazon in both print and kindle.
I even got it translated to Spanish. The featured page is little Filipa traveling on her tricycle. She is going to visit the treehouse of one of her friends. I made the tree and the house with cute Kawaii faces. As for the sun, it is a little dried Raisin. In my kids book, the Raisin is the Sun.
I thought it was something fun to do. It gave a very weird look to it. Grapes come in many different colors, including yellow. My joke pans out as far as I want to take it. The drawing was made using markers.
The sky itself was drawn with a blue Derwent pencil. I wanted to save up on pens a bit. I also wanted to create contrast with pattern. The front cover of the Strathmore paper pad has a bit of a pattern. By drawing on top of it, I can get a bit of the pattern in the sky.
I think this is enough information about the drawing. Today, the day was different for a change. We drove down to the Florida Keys to Islamorada. There we went to Wahoo Bar and Grill. My brother and my mother ate some amassing fish. As for me, I ate some nice shrimps with fries.
For dessert, we had Key Lime Pie and a Cheesecake. Overall, the weather was a bit rainy. Still, everything was like super mellowed out. The bar was taking all the precautions, and so we were able to eat in peace. For the first time in a long time, we did something for our own amusement, instead of just trying to survive.
This one outing was enough to curb the Cabin Fever for a couple of more weeks. Aside from eating, we got to play a lot of Pokemon Go. We got about 7 gyms along the way. We even caught a couple of new pokemon. I was able to send gifts to all my Poke friends. I think this is about it as far as my nonsense is concerned. I hope you are all having a nice day.
