This is one of the raw pages from my new Scary Cat book. The first part of the book features a bunch of fun activities one can do in a birthday.
I tried to keep it all varied. In this page, they are just playing hide and seek. It is a kid’s birthday party after all.
If you look in the background, you will see the birthday mime. It is the first time he appears officially in the book plot.
I thought it would be funny to have him as a background character. In the foreground, there is the birthday boy.
He is the only one with a party hat, so that the viewers know that he is the important one.
The overall style of the book is a bit of a hybrid between Chibi and Kawaii. I think it came out decent enough.
I add Kawaii faces where I can fit them. As you can tell, even the cute trees have adorable expressions.
For the time being, I am making a new Furies volume. I still need to come up with a plot for the new cat book.
