This is a nice anime drawing of mine. It features a maiden playing the Launeddas. It is part of a long series of drawings dedicated to different musical instruments. The Launeddas is a Sardinian musical wind instrument. The predecessor of this instrument can be traced as far back as Ancient Egypt.
They were depicted in tombs as old as 2700 BC. I know they recently changed it to BCE, but I prefer the original BC. I also miss the days when Pluto was considered a planet. It is not as if we will spontaneously combust, but calling Pluto a planet. The long and short of it is that I don’t like change.
This instrument is still used in modern times. It is quite popular among experimental Jazz players. More people should produce music for this instrument. It is always fun to experiment with the sound of music. I think I should know mention something about the drawing itself.
It was made with coloring pencils, and fineliner pens. The pencils were Derwent, and the pens were Stabilo. The paper is Leda Art Supply. I hope you find this information useful for your drawing projects. As for me, I got myself some tiny canvases.
I wanted to practice pouring paintings at a small scale. I did not want to make a big investment in supplies, so I went for the miniature canvases. This is not going to be too noticeable because I have a good camera.
I can make everything small look real bit. I hope you find my future works humoring. Aside from the paintings, I am brainstorming the next Scary Cat book. I am also working on publishing the manga. I have a lot of back catalogue of original works I need to get around to Publishing. You ain’t seen nothing yet!
