The hotel complex in Bahia Principe had plenty of tropical flowers. The banana trees even had bananas in them. They were mostly green, which is interesting. I always find it humoring to see in the real world, plants you actually like. Frankly, I am not big on nature. I have a pretty nice garden in the back of my house which I rarely visit. I just don't like bugs, even butterflies. In the real world, they bug me out a lot. I do not know why I have become so squeamish. Taking photos of plants and butterflies and nature is just about all the interaction with nature I can muster.
My brother is the one who does the gardening. My mother also does a bit of work from time to time. The last thing I did for the garden was collect egg shells. This was to protect the flowers and plants from the snails. The snails do not like to walk on egg shells. All the plants managed to grow rather big thanks to that little care. One of the trees we had to cut to the stump is growing back. This is great, it shows the resilience of plants. Hopefully it will grow back in a way that it does not fall on my neighbor's yard.
