The first painting focuses on a poor girl. Whenever rich people used to sow the fields, the leftovers was given to the poor. Here, we see a poor girl carrying whatever she could. The maiden herself is very pretty. It is a pity that she was born poor.
In this painting, we see an updated version of the good shepherd. This time we see "The Shepherdess". She is gracefully taking care of the baby of her sheep. The way she carries it has a graceful quality about it. Overall, she kinda embodies a rustic, modern version of the Virgin Mary.
In this painting, we see a random female worker. She is looking at her work. Apparently, she seems to be in the forest. The girl herself is very pretty.
In this cute painting, we see an adorable little girl. She seems to be a bit sulky. Her mannerism and her pose are also very childlike. The scenery appears to be the kitchen. It seems like she does not want to work.
This genre painting is also pretty self explanatory. Here we see a little girl playing with a crab. In the background, we see some people docking. Further back, we see the mountains.
In this painting, we see a girl returning from the market. She bought pigeons for dinner. The girl herself looks very pretty. She has a lovely smile. It is interesting the detail of the exposed arm. It shows you that she is very strong.
This last painting shows two girls praying. Both have some very long candles. One is staring straight ahead, while the other is focused on her rosary. Together, they paint a pretty picture. Both maidens have extremely pretty faces.
Today, I wanted to review some lovely genre paintings by Bouguereu. All these paintings are of cute little girls. The first paintings shows a peasant girl. She is making a crown of flowers. The scenery is the middle of the forest.
In this painting, a mother is adorning the hair of her little girl with flowers. The dress of both maidens are peasant attire. However, even if they are poor, nature provides for them natural ornamentation.
This painting is about the daisies. The girl collected these flowers for herself. The maiden herself looks cute in her blue dress. The scenery seems to be some random trees.
In this painting, we see a little girl in timeout. She seems to be enjoying her little punishment. It is cute how she is back at you. The scenery appears to be an indoor garden.
In this painting, a little girl and a little boy are preparing for their bath. They stopped midway and are gazing at each other's eyes. Its cute when young love blossoms.
In this painting, we see a girl with plums. She has just finished collecting them. This was a typical job for poor little girls. It is such a pity that cute children used to work back in the old days.
In this painting, we see a little girl praying. She looks very pious looking at the heavens. She seems to be wearing a nightgown. Since the old days, children used to pray before bed. As such, here we have this cute little girl.
In this painting, we see a cute girl who is cold. She has her arms around her shoulders. What is most cute is her lovely earring. It has an interesting design. Her blue eyes too are very pretty.
In this painting, we see a mother with her little girl. She is having her listen to the ocean inside a sea shell. The girl seems baffled by the sound. The scenery seems to be indoors. What I like best is the fancy decorations on the carpet. It is painted art nouveau style.
Above, we see a girl drinking soup. The blue pattern on her bowl mimics Chinese Ming dynasty decorations. The girl herself is very cute. I think that is everything worth mentioning about this painting.
Above, we see a little girl with a bird. She likes her birdie a lot. The girl is dressed like a middle class girl. It is interesting the art nouveau decorations inside her home.
Here we have the last painting. Again, we see a little girl praying. Based on the stand, the girl is praying inside the church. The girl seems to be gazing toward the light. The decorative patterns on the cushion are art nouveau style. I think that is everything worth mentioning about this painting.
Today, I will review Bouguereau's last genre paintings. The first painting shows a Breton boy and his sister. Both do look cute together. It is a bummer why boys wore girl's dresses in the old days. Still, the scenery is pretty neat. What I like best is how this painting looks like a photograph. It has some cropping effects here and there. Such a trick became popular when photography came about.
In this painting, we see an elder sister with her younger sister. Both do look cute together. The younger's blonde hair is very petty. For a background, I see the forest and some water. All the figures look very realistic.
In this painting, we see a modernized Virgin Mary with baby Jesus. As such, here we see a mother adoring her little baby. The robes around the baby are really cute. I can see why his mama likes her baby a lot. Together, they came out really pretty.
In this painting, we see a cute girl carrying her younger sister. Both do look cute together. The scenery seems to be the meadows. It is interesting how the clouds look so realistic.
Above, we see a cute girl with her younger sister. This painting is very realistic. However, the figures do look somewhat idealized. The nature scenery works pretty well.
In this painting, we see a little girl coaxing her sister. She seems to want her to do something for her. It is adorable when little kids want something. They start acting so sweet and nice. Seconds later, they ask for something impossible.
In this painting, we see two girls together. The older sister is trying to protect her from the storm. The scenery is pretty depressing. The blue hood of the elder girl came out very cool. Based on the title, both girls embody the migrant spirit. It is very scary when girls are displaced from their homes. The storm shows the turmoil and fear within the girls' hearts.
In this painting, we see a modernized version of Jesus, the Virgin Mary and John the Baptist. In this revision, the older relative is checking on the sleeping baby. The mother is telling him to keep quiet. Together, they all look very pretty. Looking at the boy's robes, he seems to be carrying some toys. It seems he still wants to play.
This painting is very cute. Here we see a little girl kissing her mother. The girl has a little orange ball in her hand. The forest scenery works pretty well. The costume of the gypsy looks very nice.
Above, we see a mother and her girl praying to the Virgin. The mother is thanking the Virgin for helping her daughter survive this far. The little girl still looks very sick. The scenery is grim and very depressing. When all else fails, it is natural for people to pray for a miracle. As such, we have this very sad painting.
Above, we see two homeless girls. The older sister is playing the violin. One the meantime, her younger sister is begging for money. This painting is really depressing and very realistic.
Above, we see a modernized genre version of the Virgin and baby Jesus. Playing the part of the biblical pair, we see a woman from Cervara and her baby. Both do look cute together.
Above, we see another painting of a mother and her child. She is gazing at her little child. Both are in the kitchen. It is cute how the kid is looking at the viewer. The interior is pretty realistic.
