Hollow Knight Mantis Lords x Judgement of Paris Art Parody

Today, I felt like doing a new Hollow Knight Art Parody. After looking at a bunch of paintings, I settled on a funny theme. The Judgement of Paris is based on a mythological story.
The Goddess of Discord wasn’t invited to a wedding. Since she was angry at being left out, she thought of a way to kill all the joy of that event. She threw a Golden Apple into the middle of the banquet.
The Golden Apple had these words: For the Fairest One. In modern terms, this line means that the Golden Apple goes to the prettiest one. Hera, Athena and Aphrodite all desired the Golden Apple.
Since none of the guests wanted to anger the Goddesses, the three divines went to look for a neutral party. Hermes found for the trio an impartial judge called Paris.
Prince Paris was looking after his flock when three beautiful maidens appeared before him. He was asked to pick the prettiest one. In order to hedge their bets, each of the Goddesses promised a gift to Paris.
The gift that Paris ended up liking was the one offered by Aphrodite. She promised him the most beautiful mortal woman. Since Paris valued beauty over everything else, he gave Aphrodite the Golden Apple of Discord.
The woman Aphrodite gave Paris was Helen, wife of Menelaus. Paris’s poor judgement led to his death, and the destruction of Troy. This brings me to the Hollow Knight parody.
In this version, Radiance didn’t like that the Mantis Lords resisted her influence. In order to breed discord among the sisters, she infected with her influence an Apple. Radiance knew that the Mantis Lords were secretly vain.
The Mantis Lords got into argument over who was the most deserving of the Golden Apple of Radiance. Hornet intervening suggested that they look for a man bug to decide who was the prettiest one.
The Man bug chosen to act as Judge is the Chibi Knight. The Mantis Lords respects the Knight’s strength, so he is someone whose judgement they would yield to.
Now, it is up to the Chibi Knight to decide which of the sisters is the prettiest one. Zote already has made his choice, but the Mantis Lords don’t respect a weak man’s opinion.
The Chibi Knight is the one who has to decide which is the prettiest one. I thought that this subject matter would be amusing since all three Mantis Lords are identical triplets. In order to show the passage of time, I placed Salubra’s Blessing on top of the Chibi Knight.
He has been sitting there a while trying to decide which is the prettiest Mantis Lords. I now ask the readers to make a similar difficult choice, and no, you are not allowed to say that all three are winners.
The Mantis Lords are not going to accept such a cowardly answer. In order to add an element of danger, I had the Mantis Lords with their nails nearby. If your answer displeases them, they will strike you down.
Anyhow, I hope that this new Hollow Knight parody makes you laugh. I made certain not to spoil any plot details this time. I made the lineart with pencil and pen. The colors were then added with photoshop.
