It has been quite the couple of years since I visited Mexico. It is a good thing I took a lot of pictures. Peace there tends to be a bit of an illusion. However, there are times when it gets really bad. The Barcelo Hotel in Mexico is known by the locals as the US. They say that it is the least Mexican place in the entire country. So, if you want a genuine Mexican vacation, this is not the place to visit.
Though frankly, risking one's life in genuine experiences is not worth it. Things gets worse in Mexico during the election period. They do politics by killing the candidates. Well, I do not want to rabble a lot about Mexico. They have been in a sinking ship for more than 100 years. They have a long rich history of killing each other over petty reasons. It has been so since the time of the Mayans and the Aztecs. For true peace, it requires true determination and a leader who is not a selfish fellow.
Sadly, unselfish leaders are a rare breed. And it is even rarer to find one with common sense. Selfless people suffer from the terrible sickness known as idealism. Idealism is all good, if it is tempered with a fresh dose of realism. In order for your ideals to come to fruition, you need to understand how the world truly works. None of it matters in the end. Things improve a bit and then go downhill just as quickly.
