Ink Art: Soul of a Blue Morpho and Peacock Butterfly
Today, I wanted to show you my latest ink art paintings. I got into painting butterflies again. This time I am using ink instead of watercolor. Ink paintings are a bit difficult to manage, but I am learning. Ink artist tend to lean more towards abstraction. With a bit of practice, I am getting into making more defined forms. Like before, I photographed the dry and wet versions of the painting. I also photographed a couple of painting details. The first painting I made was the soul of a blue morpho. I was originally trying to make an...
Ink Art: Purple Heart and Green Heart Paintings
Today, I wanted to show you my latest ink art paintings. I was trying to do basic abstract shapes. So, I chose to make heart paintings of all the colors of the rainbow. I am exaggerating a bit. I mostly did primary and secondary colors. The painting was done with Pixiss ink and paper. I especially like the paper. It is just perfect for these types of ink arts. I have enough paper to make 100 ink art paintings. So, you can expect to see more of these types of artworks in the near future. In both paintings,...
Ink Art: Pulsing Red Heart and Orange Yellow Emoji Hearts Paintings
Today, I wanted to show you my latest ink art heart paintings. I was trying out simple shapes with my ink art paintings. I also wanted to do a heart of each color. The first painting features a red heart. I started with a simple red heart in the middle. I then added a red ripple effect coming from the middle of the painting. In order to add a bit of interest to the painting, I used the colors blue and green for the empty spaces between the red pulses. Blue and Green are the split compliments of...
Blue Hearts in Golden Background Ink Art Painting
Today, I wanted to show you my latest ink art. It is just a simple painting. It features Blue hearts against a golden background. The Hearts had a lot of dots in the middle. I used Pixiss ink and paper. They combine well together. For the first time, I was forced to thin out the paints. I had added alcohol ink into the bottles in order to make more golden ink. The little bottle was almost halfway done. Adding rubbing alcohol saved me the trouble of having to get more ink. This is something to keep in mind if you...
Ink Art: Hello and Blue Heart Paintings
Today, I wanted to show you the last alcohol ink paintings that I made. I usually make these paintings in batches. Once I have the videos posted online, I get around to making the blogs about these artworks. I made these two paintings using Pixiss art supplies. The paper was made by Pixiss, as well as the ink. The water I used to thin out the paints was provided by Zephyrhills. I am just kidding. I chose purified water because tab water has chlorine and fluorine. They mess with the consistency of the paints. It is interesting to observe...
