I did two new ink arts paintings. I was inspired in fireworks.
The New Year is just around the corner. We are probably going to spend it at home.
Even if we are not going to do fireworks, I still like to think about them.
So, I decided to make fireworks with my ink art. I used black paper to make fireworks.
Fireworks typically are shot at night. So, this saves me an extra step. The paper and ink were made by Pixiss.
I have been extending the ink supplies by adding rubbing alcohol into the bottles.
I am quite frugal with my art supplies. I also did a video for Tiktok and Youtube of these fireworks.
I took both wet and dry version photos of my paintings. I also photographed two painting details.
The colors tend to brighten when it dries. With the paper oversaturated with ink, the colors tend to migrate.
In the first painting, I sprayed a lot of white ink. White ink is necessary to help the ink colors stand out against the black background.
I delineated some patterns before adding the colors.
The final version captures the essence of fireworks.
The second painting follows a similar pattern. The only difference is that I used less alcohol.
It is important to have the ventilator on when making these paintings.
This allows the rubbing alcohol to dry faster.
It also keeps the inks from fighting with each other.
Well, I ranted enough about my first set of fireworks paintings. I hope you look forward to my next set of ink arts.
My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
