I made new ink art themed After Valentine’s day. This time I focused on gift ideas. It is a bit of a cliché. Still, I made roses and a chocolate box ink art. I used pixiss ink and paper.   I chose black paper to make these artworks. I started by spraying the paper with white ink. This would allow the colored inks to be visible against the black backgrounds.   The inks pigments are a little transparent. So, they need a little extra help for them to stand out. In the first painting, I drew the rose pattern with...

It is a little bit too early to make Valentine’s Day art. Still, I figured I would get around to it. I looked at some reference material. I didn’t want to just draw a bunch of hearts for Valentine’s Day.   That isn’t creative. I settled for painting a couple handholding. The other painting features a kiss. Both paintings were made by Pixiss ink and paper. I used the biggest paper I had available to make these artworks.   I didn’t saturate the paper with rubbing alcohol. This is my newest Aurora Borealis Ink art. I used the round paper this time. There was no particular reason to use it. I just had it.   So, it seemed like a good motif for it. The paper and ink I use is from Pixiss. I hope you find this information useful. In both paintings, I started by creating a blue background.   In the first painting, I added purple to the mix. In the other, I added dabs of green. Both ended up looking a bit different. Though, they used a similar process. In the first painting, I...

I made two new ink arts. I used the smallest paper. It was a good a time as any to make use of that paper. I am running out of my big ink art paper. So, I figured I would use the small paper instead.   The paper and ink were made by pixiss. With smaller paper, you can use less ink. It still comes out great if you know what you are doing. I started by creating an orange hue background.   I thinned out the paint with rubbing alcohol. I then started to cascade the ink colors downwards....

I made new Aurora Borealis ink art. This time I used my white paper. I wanted to try to vary the feel of it. I wasn’t certain if it was going to work better with black or white paper.   The first two paintings I made it with black paper. The ones featured in this blog were done with white. The papers and inks I used where provided by Pixiss.   You can find those art supplies in my Artsy Sister’s Choice collection. Just look for the product that are next to bjd dolls.
