It is a little bit too early to make Valentine’s Day art. Still, I figured I would get around to it.
I looked at some reference material. I didn’t want to just draw a bunch of hearts for Valentine’s Day.
That isn’t creative. I settled for painting a couple handholding. The other painting features a kiss.
Both paintings were made by Pixiss ink and paper. I used the biggest paper I had available to make these artworks.
I didn’t saturate the paper with rubbing alcohol. I felt like making a dot type of painting.
If I saturate the paper with ink, I would lose control. The first painting required a bit of accuracy. I needed to paint two hands.
The first one I painted pink. The second one blue. I am running out of sky blue. I painted the blue hand first with that blue.
I ended up using a different colored ink. I have thinned my sky blue ink enough. Now, it is more alcohol than pigment.
Oh! Well. I painted the background golden. I added a bit of metallic gold here and there.
I even added something of a wedding ring in the pink hand. I think it came out alright. The second painting features a couple kissing.
I started first with the guy. I used green and red for the faces. They are complimentary colors.
So, they work well together. The lady face ended up losing a bit of distinction. Still, you can kind of tell that there is another face.
These types of inks are difficult for precision work. I am still learning. All in all, I find that it was an interesting effort.
I think I ranted enough about my artwork. I took two photos of painting details.
I also photographed the paintings wet and dry.
You can see how I made these paintings in my Artsy Sister Youtube Channel and my Teresita Blanco Books Tiktok.
