Watercolor Anime Chapter Image
This is another one of the in between chapter images I created for my book. I have been loosing a bit of steam with that idea. It is a bit of a pain to insert the images into the word document. I also do not know how it will look in the final book. For now, I am going to give it a rest with my watercolor paintings. I have been thinking of getting back to my graphic novel project. I am trying to get Pokemon out of my system, so I decided to make a manga about it. It...
Spanish Maiden in an Orange Dress circa 1880
It is interesting today how much attention is paid to certain writers and the like. These are writers who did literature, instead of writing a regular best seller. I do not see why literature and best sellers have to be mutually exclusive. Then again, there will always be snobs and the like. Still, there is such a thing a terrible popular book. I have not been keeping up with my readings. Lately, all the books I try to read bore me. This is why I aim to write a book that is not boring to read. If I am starting...
Anime Drawing of a Victorian maiden circa 1850
This is one of my many cute maidens in pretty dresses. Since I was little, I used to fill up my notebook with crude renditions of maidens in cute dresses. None of these notebooks survived the moves. Now, I finally have enough space to have something that resembles an artist studio. My house has an extra room that we ended up turning into an office, slash studio. I rarely hang out there because the lighting there is rather weak. It is mainly for storage purposes. The light is pretty strong in the main room of the house. I get plenty...
Candy Cane Spanish Girl circa 1652
It has been quite a while since I did image blogs. In this website, I am trying to focus on my own work or whatever. The originality of my website is a must, for serious reasons or whatever. Anyhow, I do not need to go into detail about my process. I am just trying to enhance your shopping experience or whatever. Everything you need to make an anime drawing like this one can be found here. The pens are Staedtler. The small lines were made with a Prismacolor pen. I used it to draw the skin. The main coloring was...
Cake Spanish Girl circa 1650
This is another one of the cute dresses I drew. In Spain, during the baroque period it was common for princesses to dress like today’s modern date cakes. I went through a lot of trouble in rendering the small details. I also added a little bit of makeup on the maiden. I had just gotten some pastel pencils, and I wanted to try them out. The pastel pencils were Derwent, as well as the pencils I used to decorate most of the dress. The pen sections were drawn with Staedtler pens. The skin lines were drawn with a Prismacolor pen....
