Gustave Courbet Realism Paintings
Gustave Courbet was a realism artist. He was concerned with the problems of the poor and the state of art. During his days, realism was not considered fashionable. When his work got rejected by the Salon, he opened his own Pavilion of Realism in front of the Salon. During his time, art was supposed to teach you a lesson. It should also be original and innovative. As a proponent of this new avant garde art, Courbet tried hard to paint in his own unique way. Courbet's realism entailed painting something from his own life. Therefore, Courbet never painted angels...
Mother’s Day Ink Art Dress and Mug Gift Ideas
I made new ink art. They are silly little gift ideas. I painted them on white paper. The first artwork features a mug. Most folks give mugs to their mothers when they are drawing a blank. Little kids also make them for their moms. So, this is a good idea for a gift if you can’t afford anything fancy. You can also give your mom a nice dress. The dress can be of any kind. Through, a party dress is a good option. She can wear it for her mother’s day outing. The paints were done with pixiss ink and...
Mother’s Day Gift Idea Makeup and Perfume
This is my latest mother’s day gift idea. I turned that idea into two paintings. My mom likes perfume and makeup. She spends long hours dolling herself up. This is not important at the moment. This thing is that you remember what your mother likes. If all else fails, just ask her what she wants. My mom wanted a fancy perfume as well. So,...
Mandala Acrylic Drawing Floral Peace
I made new Mandala art. I used Grabie Pens and paper to make these artworks. I started from the center, before expanding artwork. These mandala drawings are pretty relaxing to make. This time I used white, dark blue and purple paper. I wanted to see how the colors looked in different shades of paper. So far, the pens look best in black or dark blue paper. I still need to get around to testing the pens in different surfaces. I will get around to it, when I get around to it. On the meantime, enjoy my new mandala art. I...
Micheal Parkes Dreamscape Paintings
Micheal Parkes is a talented dreamscape artist. He was born in the US, but he currently resides in Spain. Many of his paintings are mass produced in the form of illustrations. He also does sculptures. For our purposes, we will focus on Parkes’ paintings. The first one is called Another. Basically, we see a jester with a ring and swam. In painting, such maidens placed as such are unsightly, composition wise. However, Parkes decided to put her there to draw your eyes to her. As for the swans, Parkes has like a dozen paintings with swans. He likes...
