It is always fun to write about food. Most of my happy memories are in restaurants. This weekend we went to Bonsai.
It has been forever since we visited our favorite Thai and Sushi restaurant. The waitresses were pretty happy to see us.
We must be the last tippers left in the entire world. We know what it is like to live from tips. My mother started out as a waitress when we moved to the States.
The tips were the only reason we managed to survive. Moving along. We started by ordering drinks. Mother has developed a taste for the Sapporo Beer.
My brother had the Moscato. For appetizer, mother had the Tom Kha Soup. It was extremely hot. So much so, that one could see the gentle steam rising from the bowl.
For the main course, I had the Eel Roll and my family ate the Lobster Bomb. Above, you can see the before and after of the Lobster Bomb.
Everything was made fresh, especially the lobster. For dessert, I had the cheesecake tempura, with ice cream and condensed milk.
My mother and brother had the Thai donuts. All in all, it was a fun dining experience. The food was made promptly. The waitress was friendly and efficient.
If you ever stop by Miami’s 8th street, do visit Bonsai Thai and Sushi Restaurant. This is Teresita Blanco Artsy Sister, Foodie blogger extraordinaire.
Bye, bye, and God bless. I hope you like the photos I took of the main course and desserts.
