This is the last photoshoot featuring my Odette bjd doll. I tend to split the photoshoots in two, for organization purposes.
It also saves a bit on loading time. The photos that I tend to take are huge thanks to my trusty Fujifilm camera.
It is almost a decade old, but it still turns on. Most of the photos I take them vertically.
They tend to look rather nice on the cellphone. Also, the dolls are easier to pose vertically.
This time I used a reference book for the photos.
As much fun as it is to come up with poses, sometimes it is easier to just see some classical poses and to try to mimic them with the doll.
In total, I took about 50 something photos. The dress has some limitations as far as posing is concerned.
Most of the time it keeps ridding up. I did not want the doll’s undies to be noticeable.
So, I just removed them for this dress in specific. It helps maintain the smoothness of the silhouette.
The main gimmick of the photoshoot are the wigs. I am trying out to see how the dress looks with different wigs.
I also took 16 photos in monochrome. The main color that it focuses on is the color red.
I think the color red adds a nice little bit of spice to the photo. My mother was thinking of traveling abroad for a bit.
Now that there is a war, it seemed like a good a time as any. All joking aside, I really do not want to travel.
I am quite comfortable in my couch. I rarely summon the energy to leave it. I do try to stay active, with the short workouts with the weights.
I also stopped eating potatoes. As for the photos, I included some of my paintings for background elements.
I thought that it would make the poses a little bit more interesting, with a creative backdrop.
I need to get around to painting new backgrounds. As of lately, I have been in a writing type of mood.
I just finished reediting the first Sacred Mask book. I polished a few mistakes here and there.
I also added a couple of new details in order to help with continuity. The books did not start with an overall plan.
I created the world and the characters, and then I move on forward. This way of writing is only possible if you have a long history of day dreaming.
I spent most of my time in school imagining that I was elsewhere, being someone else.
I still daydream from time to time. I then add the scenes to the book, but only if they make sense.
It is important not to try to force scenes, and just let the characters act out the way they are supposed to.
The book for the time being had 170,000 words. It is not close to ending. I have a couple of ideas here and there.
I want to have the ending be a little action pack or at least weird.
Then again, I just remember that all the endings have to be a type of party, like a curtain call of sorts.
There is going to be a fourth Sacred Mask book. In the first book, it ended with a birthday party. In the second book, I ended it with a graduation ceremony.
Since I do not want to repeat themes, I need a different type of party for the ending. As far as action set pieces, I do not want to do a second dragon battle.
I already did one dragon fight. If they happen a lot more, then the one in book two stops being special.
I have been looking at cute new little dolls from time to time. I want to get a new one, but I also think that 12 dolls is a little bit too many bjd dolls.
Then again, what else am I going to use the money for. It is not as if I have a brat to feed. I had a pretty difficult introduction to life.
This is part of the reason why I never entertained the idea of being a mother.
It just seemed like a needless complication, and I want peace and quiet. Things right now are pretty peaceful.
I just need to try to maintain my health so that my body doesn’t deteriorate so very quickly.
Saving up for old age, is like my only plans for the future. The rest of the time I focus on what I am about to do in the next 5 minutes.
Folks can only live in the present. It doesn’t make any sense to make plans for a future that might get muddied.
There is a saying that I like: Humans make plans. God laughs. This just about sums up my general idea about making plans for the future.
Everyone thinks that there is only one proper path to happiness. Everyone is always living life the same way.
A little originality wouldn’t be so bad. Two of my Papayas rotted away from one side.
I added a little bib to protect them. At least, the second one came out rather decent.
Mother turned it into a sweet dessert. I also managed to harvest two tomatoes. It is a humble harvest, but I try.
If the papayas keep getting taller, it is going to be difficult to protect them from the bugs.
This is about it as far as my ramblings are concerned.
I am waiting to see if I can ever get the chance to get a PS5 or maybe the Hollow Knight will come out on the Switch.
Either way, I am just informing you of my overall level of boredom.
It is going to take a bit to put up all these little photos, since I have to do it one by one.
Well, this is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister. Bye, bye and God bless.
