Today, I did the first official photoshoot of my new bjd doll. I got her from BJDdivas.
It was nice that they gave me the option to order two dresses for the bjd doll.
It is always better to buy the outfits from the doll makers.
This assures that it is a perfect fit. Speaking of perfect fit, the outfit of my new bjd doll gave me a bit of a headache.
The neck frills didn’t open. You were expected to remove her head in order to finish dressing her.
I know from experience that this is easier said than done. I get just bad flashbacks just thinking about it.
After all, the entire doll is being held together by the string on the neck. By pulling at it, one risks breaking the strings that hold the doll together.
After weighing all my options, I decided to just mend the dress. I scissored the neck frills in half.
I then added buttons to strap them together. I got the inspiration of how to do it from my Doll Chateau fairy doll.
Her original outfit came with neck frills that open and close.
After studying her buttons, I got rough idea of how to do it.
Another item that required mending was a little bead that fell during transport.
I stitched it back into the outfit.
Once the doll was dressed, she was ready for her stylish modeling career.
Her wig is extremely pretty. The texture almost feels like human hair.
The eyes also required a bit of installation.
I have gotten enough practice in that department. So, it wasn’t like a big deal.
The body of this doll is super steady. She holds a pose extremely easily.
Her body came with body blushing. So, that is something cool.
It adds a bit of life to her pasty body. I tried to keep all her poses classy.
I was studying all the poses that she can muster.
This is something I do with all my new bjd dolls.
It gives me a general idea of the types of photoshoots I can do with this bjd doll.
I am so happy that she is finally home.
It is just as that saying goes.
Good things come to those who wait…almost an entire year.
Speaking of waiting, I have a new pre-order on the way.
I got him from Gem of Dolls.
I liked the look of his face, so, I pre-ordered him for my birthday.
With some luck, he will arrive before my next Birthday.
In any case, I want to focus on the bjd doll I have right now.
She is quite the lovely addition to my doll family.
Her face makeup is extremely beautiful.
Her hands are finely crafted little masterpieces.
I have only good things to say about my new bjd doll.
My name is Teresita Blanco, the Artsy Sister.
Bye, bye and God bless.
More.
